These outstanding lectures were delivered from September 29-October 3, 1873, at the School of Theology at Boston University, and were subsequently published at the earnest request of the students and the faculty who heard them delivered. One reason for the value of this work is that the lectures were delivered by a man who had been serving Christ in the Gospel ministry for more than half a century.
